ZAR® ULTRA EXTERIOR OIL-BASED FAST DRYING POLYURETHANE

DESCRIPTION
ZAR ULTRA Exterior Oil-Based Polyurethane is a super fast drying clear wood polyurethane finish. (FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY.) Dries in two hours on bare wood. Containing ultraviolet radiation absorbers and anti-oxidants, ZAR ULTRA Exterior Oil-Based Polyurethane is the ultimate in exterior protection. Ideal for wooden marine surfaces (above water-line), exterior doors - including fiberglass and steel doors, patio furniture, fences, gables and other wood surfaces exposed to direct sunlight and the harsh extremes of weather. NOT FOR USE ON DECKS. ZAR ULTRA Exterior Polyurethane outperforms other exterior clear finishes 2 to 1. Specifically formulated for exposure to sunlight.

SURFACE PREP
New/Bare Wood: Sand smooth using fine sand paper in the direction of the grain. If wood is rough, sand with medium grit sandpaper and finish with fine grit. Remove sanding dust with a tack rag or cloth dampened with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
Old Clear Finishes in Good Condition: Remove grease, dirt and wax. Sand lightly in the direction of the grain to remove any gloss. Remove sanding dust with a tack rag or cloth dampened with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
Old Clear Finishes in Poor Condition: Remove completely. All finishes or stains containing wax or water repellents must be removed. Remove sanding dust with a tack rag or cloth dampened with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
Exterior Surfaces of Stained Steel. or Fiberglass Entry Doors: DO NOT SAND original stained surfaces. Wood Stain must be thoroughly dry. Do not apply over shellac, lacquer, paint or finishes containing stearates.

APPLICATION
Stir ZAR ULTRA Satin Exterior Polyurethane thoroughly before and during application. Stirring is not required for ZAR ULTRA Gloss Exterior Polyurethane Finish. Do not shake! Apply straight from the can. Use a clean bristle brush. Dip the brush in the can and let excess drip off. Flow ZAR ULTRA Exterior Oil-Based Polyurethane on. Avoid over brushing which may trap air bubbles in the finish and result in streaks. For best results, apply when air and surface temperatures are above 50°F. Avoid applying in direct sunlight or within one hour of dusk as dew will dull finish. Apply 3 coats.
